It’s nice to hear this news, but it’s also a bit of a blow to those who were already taking the drug. The first phase of the trial was to prove that those taking the drug could abstain from risky behaviors, whether it be smoking, drugs, or sex. The second phase of the trial was to show that participants would continue to engage in risky behaviors once they stopped taking the drug.
So it looks like Covaxin is effective in helping people to cut back on all sorts of bad habits that lead to risky behaviors, and in doing so, it’s also helping to improve their mental health. As such, the drug is potentially useful for people who struggle with addictive behavior (i.e. drug addicts, alcohol abusers, gamblers), but the question remains as to whether or not it’s something you should try.
It’s been a long time since I have been on a trial and the results are still being announced, but the trial was supposed to end in October. Now it looks like Phase 3 has already started and we will begin seeing results soon. Phase 3 is a much stricter test and will determine whether or not Covaxin helps people to stop taking the drug.
